Napa County has coastal temperate
rain forests, vast oak woodlands and chaparral that culminate into a rich
ecosystem of vast biodiversity unique on the planet. Our natural heritage is
worth protecting and must be conserved for future generations. High land
prices, a demand for premium wines and Napa's close proximity to the Bay Area makes Napa County a prime area for rapid urbanization and global importance for
vineyard development in the hillsides and wildlands.
Land use managers, special interest groups and resource agencies are slow and
non responsive to human degradation of important natural resources.
Therefore, advocacy and protection are necessary.
